Do you cover all areas of Worcester?
We work across all the Worcester postcodes, WR1 to WR5 in the city, plus Droitwich (WR9), Pershore (WR10), Malvern (WR14) and Upton-upon-Severn (WR8). Our address is High St, Worcester WR1 2FN. If you are just outside that, call 07851 872110 and ask, we often travel further for larger jobs.
How much does an electrician cost?
It depends on the job, so we do not quote blind. Small jobs and call-outs are priced on the phone before we come out; anything bigger we look at first and give you a fixed written price.
Do I need an EICR to sell or let my house?
If you let a property in England, yes: at least every five years, with a copy to the tenant within 28 days. For a sale it is not a legal requirement, but buyers and their surveyors often ask for one.
Do you provide certificates?
Yes. New circuits and notifiable work get an Electrical Installation Certificate or Minor Works Certificate, inspections get an EICR, and notifiable work is notified to building control.
How long does the work take?
Most small jobs and faults are done the same day. A fuse board change is usually a day. A rewire takes several days depending on the house. You get the timescale with the quote.
Will I need to be at home?
For the start and the hand-over, ideally yes, so we can agree what is being done and walk you through it. In between, a key or a neighbour is fine.
Do you offer emergency call outs?
Check the neighbours first. If the whole street is dark it is a network fault: call 105 free of charge and National Grid Electricity Distribution will handle it. If it is only your property, or only part of it, that is an installation fault and we are who you need. Our phone is answered 24 hours.
Can you help with EV charger installation?
Yes. Before quoting we check your main fuse rating and earthing arrangement, because a PME supply needs open-PEN protection under Regulation 722.411.4.1, either built into the charger or provided by an earth rod. All new chargepoints must be smart units under the Electric Vehicle (Smart Charge Points) Regulations 2021.
